A call leaves traces, passes through several parties and depends on a network link. This section separates two kinds of reading: understanding what a business phone system holds and exposes, then configuring Klytic Tel once the service is in place.

It is written for three readers. The executive choosing a phone system who wants to know who will keep the call history. The IT director or installer comparing an on-premises IP PBX, a hosted dedicated server and a shared service. The DPO or HR manager who has to set a policy for call recordings.
The “Understand” pages hold true whether or not you are a Klytic customer. They cite their sources and state, at the end, what Klytic covers and what it does not. The “Use Klytic Tel” pages assume the service is already in place. They describe what you get, who does what, and what is prepared with Klytic.
The same question can fall under both. “How long should a recording be kept” is a legal rule: that is a guide. “Who can listen to recordings in our phone system” is a setting: that is a how-to page. The two pages link to each other.
The offering itself, the four line types and the calling plans are described on the Klytic Tel page. Prices appear only on the Pricing page.
Telephony raises the same questions as email or documents: who operates the service, which law applies to that operator, where the copies are, how you leave. These questions are covered in the sovereignty guides and need not be repeated here: What is a sovereign cloud?, Protecting a company from the CLOUD Act and “Data hosted in Europe”.
Two points specific to voice are already covered there. Encryption covers the path between your phones or apps and the platform, but not the part of a call that crosses external carriers’ networks. And telephony backups follow a daily schedule, different from that of the other services: details are on the Security & backup page.
Tell us how many lines and sites you have: we will propose a configuration.
